DR. SUSAN BAHR

DR. BAHR'S BIO
Dr. Susan Bahr graduated with a B.S. Summa cum laude in Animal Science from Cook College/Rutgers University. She received her DVM degree with Honors from The Ohio State University in 1994. She has been practicing small animal medicine at the Hackettstown Animal Hospital since 1994. Her interests include internal medicine and pediatrics.

Dr. Susan grew up in Sparta, NJ, and currently resides in Hunterdon County on a small farm with her husband John and daughter Jillian. She has 7 dogs, 2 horses, 1 cat, and 1 hermit crab.

Dr. Susan enjoys cycling, figure skating, running, and horseback riding, in addition to photography and digital scrapbooking.

Dr. Anthony Long

DR. Long's Bio
Dr. Anthony Long graduated from Rutgers University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science. He decided to pursue his veterinary degree 3000 miles away at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland, before graduating in 2017. His hobbies include hiking and camping, as well as gardening and tending to goats and chickens at the family hobby farm. He has a Labrador/husky cross as well as three cats, five cashmere goats, and a dozen chickens. His special interests are preventative medicine and dentistry.

Dr. Dana Nause

Dr. Nause's Bio
Dr. Dana Nause graduated from Rutgers University (Cook College) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and a minor in Teacher Education. She received her DVM degree from Tuskegee University, School of Veterinary Medicine, in 2008. Dr. Dana has a passion for surgery, dentistry, and preventative care. She has a true heart for the human-animal bond. She understands the depth of caring that people have for their pets and wants to meet them there. Dr. Dana resides in Sussex County with her two rescue dogs. She has a love of the outdoors and for training/competing in Dressage with her big, beautiful, and goofy warmblood gelding.

Dr. Scott Thornton

Dr. Thornton's Bio
Dr. Scott Thornton graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. After many years as a serial entrepreneur, he decided to go back to school to follow his childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. After graduating from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Scott joined the team at Hackettstown Animal Hospital, who had already been caring for his animals for several years. He practices passionate care for his patients and his clinical interests include general practice and chronic pain management.

Dr. Scott grew up in Whippany, NJ, and currently resides in Boonton Twp, NJ, with his wife. They are longtime newfoundland owners and currently have two newfs that rule their home.

During his time away from vet med, Dr. Scott enjoys snow and water skiing, sailing and generally being outdoors.
